Trados Studio allows you to create a translation memory, which is a database that stores previously translated content.  This memory suggests matches or similar content as you work, allowing you to reuse previous translations and work more efficiently while maintaining consistency.

The translation memory automatically inserts stored matches into new documents, eliminating the need to retranslate content.  It also supports the localization process, improving the quality, speed, and consistency of each task.  Each entry in the translation memory consists of the original language (the “source”) and its translation (the “target”), referred to as “translation units” or “TUs.”
